Michael Thaman is the former Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Owens Corning and was a Director there since January 2002.
Mr. Thaman joined Owens Corning in 1992. He was elected Chairman of the Board in April 2002 and served as the Chief Executive Officer from 2007 to 2019. Throughout his tenure with Owens Corning, Mr. Thaman has held a variety of leadership positions, including serving as President of the Exterior Systems Business beginning in 1999 and President of the Engineered Pipe Systems Business beginning in 1997.
After a total of 28 years with Owens Corning, Mr. Thaman retired and now serves as an advisor to start-up ventures developing technologies that target CO2 reduction. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Kohler Co., Sherwin-Williams, UL Solutions, Air Liquide, and the Toledo Museum of Art. He is a graduate of Princeton University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science.
