Before joining Marble Harbor as an investment counselor and founder, L.J. spent five years as a Vice President at Brown Brothers Harriman in the firm's Private Client Group. There he had discretionary responsibility for 45 relationships with a focus on individual equity selection and general portfolio management. He is knowledgeable of additional asset classes including international equity, private equity, hedge funds, high-yield fixed income and inflation-protected securities.

L.J. began his investment management career in 1990 at David L. Babson & Company. There he rose to Managing Director in the firm's Private Client Group. At Babson, he developed a client referral network through a national financial planning firm while managing a large group of client relationships.

A graduate of Whittier College with an A.B. in Business Administration, L.J. received his M.B.A. from Northeastern University.

For enjoyment, L.J. plays golf and basketball. He and his wife live west of Boston.

L.J. focuses his research efforts on the Energy and Materials sectors.
