Brad Perry has been a professional investor for more than 50 years. After graduating from Harvard College and Harvard Business School (where he was a Baker Scholar), he spent eight years as a stock analyst at Loomis, Sayles & Co., a large investment counsel firm based in Boston.

In 1960, he joined David L. Babson & Company, also headquartered in Boston, as a stock analyst. Subsequently, he became Director of Research, a portfolio manager, and, in 1978, President. In 1983, he was named Babson's Chairman. He retired in 1992 but continued on as a consultant to the firm until 2002.

Mr. Perry also serves as a consultant to other investment organizations. He has been a prolific writer on investing and a frequent speaker to investment groups, as well as a guest on the television programs Wall Street Week and Adam Smith's Money World.

In 1985, he received the National Association of Investors Corporation Distinguished Service Award in Investment Education, which cited the clarity and wisdom of his writing and speeches.
